  34. DESCRIPTION

  36.     lk is a linker which will create executable files from
  37.     any valid Amiga object files and libraries. The following
  38.     assemblers and compilers do compatible Amiga object files
  39.     (note that this list is far from being complete):

  41.         GenIm2
  42.         Basm
  43.         SAS/C
  44.         Dice (Upto V2.x at least)
  45.     Oberon

  47.     The C compiler from Aztec and gcc create their own file
  48.     formats and are not supported by lk.

  50.     lk has a large amount of features (over 100 keywords)
  51.     and is compatible to most of the existing linker:

  53.         SLINK 6.x  (SAS)
  54.         BLINK 7.x  (The Software Distillery/SAS)
  55.         ALINK      (Commodore)
  56.         DLINK      (Dice)

  58.     lk is quicker that those linkers and has no major bugs.

  63.     each new upload include a file named lk.history which
  64.     includ new features.

  66.     V1.06 mostly, all bugs known for compatibility with
  67.           SLINK have been corrected.

  69.           lk now supports archived libraries

  72. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  73.  
  74.     There should be no special requirements. However a
  75.     system with less than 1Mb of memory will probably
  76.     often fails. lk has been programmed to be compatible
  77.     with V1.2 and V1.3. However it has been developed
  78.     under V2.0 and V3.1. Then it may result in unfound
  79.     bugs on old systems.

  81.     The use of lk also requires the possession of an
  82.     assembler or a compiler which does Amiga object. To
  83.     know if it does, you can use this demo of lk and it
  84.     will prompt you when an invalid file is found.

  107.     fee payable to the author to have the full version of
  108.     lk tool. This fee is of 15 US dollars or 90 French Francs.

  113.     This _distribution_ is a freeware. It contains only a limited
  114.     version of the linker. A registered version is available
  115.     separately, that one is a shareware.
